NHS Hair Epilation Referrals
Results
WILD is an NHS-commissioned provider of hair epilation services and accepts referrals for eligible patients in line with local NHS commissioning criteria.
NHS-funded treatment is provided following formal referral and approval.
Treatment is delivered in a private clinic setting, with the same focus on dignity, consistency, and individual care throughout your course.
Private laser hair removal appointments remain available for self-funding clients. Referrer information is available on request.

All treatments are carried out using medical-grade laser technology, suitable for a wide range of skin types.

You normally see me using my 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser for hair removal…
But change the way that wavelength is delivered and we can use controlled heat within the skin for a very different purpose. 👀
🔥 The aim? Controlled dermal heating into the low-40°C range.
Rather than targeting a hair follicle, the 1064 nm wavelength can be used to gradually build heat within the skin.
This controlled thermal stimulation can trigger the skin’s natural repair response, encouraging collagen remodelling and the formation of new collagen over time.
And that’s the important bit…
We’re not trying to create an instant, dramatic tightening effect.
Collagen remodelling is a biological process, so changes develop gradually following treatment. Research using 1064 nm Nd:YAG lasers has demonstrated new collagen formation within the dermis.
So yes… the machine you see me using for laser hair removal has a few more tricks up its sleeve. 🐆

6 laser sessions done… now what? 👀
This is where your laser treatment gets really individual.
Six sessions isn’t a magic number where everyone is suddenly “finished” — and it doesn’t automatically mean you need to keep booking the same treatment either.
It’s a really useful point to review.
Let me give you a real example…
One of my clients has completed her initial 6 sessions of full-leg laser hair removal.
She’s had a fantastic reduction overall, but the hair on the backs of her thighs has been a little more persistent.
So what happens next?
I’m not simply booking another full-leg treatment because that’s what she had before.
Instead, we’ve reviewed what’s actually growing and adjusted her treatment plan.
For now, we’ll concentrate on the backs of her legs.
Then, if enough suitable hair returns across the full legs in the future, we can treat the whole area again.
The same can happen with facial laser.
You might start your journey having your half face treated. After your initial course, perhaps the cheeks and jaw no longer have enough suitable growth to warrant treating — but your upper lip still does.
So we can treat the upper lip.
Then, if and when the wider area needs treating again, we review it.
That’s what laser maintenance really means at WILD.
It isn’t automatically having the same area treated every few months forever.
It’s reviewing your results, looking at what your hair is actually doing and creating a treatment plan around you.
Sometimes that means continuing to target a slower-responding area.
Sometimes it means extending the time between appointments.
Sometimes it means treating a much smaller area.
And eventually, it may mean occasional maintenance only when there is enough suitable regrowth to treat.
Treat the hair that needs treating.
Not simply the area you originally booked.

Wait… why does the skin do THAT after laser?! 👀
Those little red, raised bumps around the hairs can look a little alarming if you’ve never seen them before — but they can be a completely normal, temporary response after laser hair removal.
It’s called perifollicular erythema and oedema — basically temporary redness and slight swelling around the individual hair follicles following treatment.
During every laser treatment, I’m watching your skin just as closely as I’m watching the settings. I’m continually assessing how your skin and hair respond and tailoring your treatment accordingly.
And importantly — you don’t need to develop visible bumps for your laser treatment to be effective. Everyone responds differently, and the reaction can even vary from one treatment to the next.
For most people, the redness and swelling settles within a few hours, although it can occasionally last longer.
Laser hair removal isn’t one-setting-fits-all — and that’s exactly why every treatment at WILD is personalised to you.

Wait… did that hair just pop out?! 👀
It did.
This is called immediate hair extrusion, and it’s one of those moments laser professionals love to see.
Sometimes, immediately after a laser pulse, the treated hair is gently pushed out of the follicle. It’s a sign that the hair has responded to treatment.
Not everyone experiences this, and you certainly don’t need to see it for your treatment to be effective. Every hair behaves a little differently depending on its growth cycle.
Over the next couple of weeks, many of the remaining treated hairs will naturally shed. That’s why it can sometimes look as though the hair is still growing, when it’s actually making its way out of the follicle.
Laser hair removal isn’t about removing today’s hair.
It’s about targeting the follicle to reduce tomorrow’s hair.
