Honest answers to the questions clients ask most often. If yours is not here, send a private enquiry or book a complimentary consultation.

Is laser hair removal suitable for me?

Suitability depends on hair colour, skin tone, medical history and the area to be treated. Dark hair responds best. Laser is not generally effective on grey, white, very light blonde or red hair. Everything is assessed at your complimentary consultation and patch test.

Do you treat all skin tones?

The dual-wavelength Candela GentleMax Pro Plus offers Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths, which provide treatment options for all skin tones, subject to individual assessment at your consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Hair grows in cycles, so a course is normally required. The number of sessions varies according to the treatment area, hair colour, hair density, hormones and individual response. You will be given an honest estimate at your consultation.

How far apart are sessions?

Facial treatments are typically four to six weeks apart. Body areas are usually six to eight weeks apart. Timing is adjusted to how your hair responds.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe a brief warm snap with each pulse. Cooling is used throughout and settings are adjusted to your comfort. Many clients find it far more comfortable than expected.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes. Shaving is fine between sessions. Avoid waxing, plucking or threading, because the laser needs the hair root present.

Do hormones affect results?

Hormones can influence hair growth and response. This is discussed at your consultation and taken into account when planning your course.

Is the clinic private?

Yes. The clinic has a private entrance and no shared waiting room. Every appointment is one-to-one with Vanessa Hill.

How do I address you and how will you address me?

At your consultation you will be asked your name and how you would like to be addressed, and that is what is used throughout your care.

What does it cost?

Prices for each area and for courses are on the booking page, and payment options are discussed at your consultation. The consultation and patch test are complimentary.
